CLEVELAND — The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter (CCAS) says it is "desperate" to find more adopters or fosters amid a massive influx of dogs entering the shelter in recent weeks.

The shelter says it has reached critical capacity and is offering vastly reduced fees to incentivize adoptions. The regular adoption fee of $95 has been reduced to $25 through Tuesday, Sept. 2.

The $25 adoption fee includes spay/neuter services, vaccines, a 2025 dog license, a microchip, and a current rabies tag.
