A motorcyclist critically injured in a crash in Anne Arundel County was flown to Shock Trauma.
County police said officers were called around 5:40 p.m. Thursday to an area near the Ritchie Highway intersection with Jumpers Hole Road in the Pasadena area, where a motorcycle struck a turning SUV.
Police said the SUV left a parking lot and entered the southbound travel lanes while making a turn to the north. Police said the motorcycle was traveling south on Ritchie Highway when it struck the SUV, crossed the median and ended up in the northbound lanes.
Police said the 30-year-old motorcyclist and a 26-year-old passenger were taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. The motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries and the passenger was stable, police said.
