A woman who has accused a well-known Alabama priest of paying her as much as $400,000 to engage in an ongoing relationship that included sex has been arrested.

Heather Lynn Jones, 33, is charged in Marshall County with practicing law without a license.

Jones earlier this month took her allegations against the priest, Bob Sullivan, pastor of Our Lady of Sorrows in Homewood, to British newspaper The Guardian .

In that article, the north Alabama mother of two said she was studying to become an attorney.

Jones was booked into the Marshall County Jail at 12:21 p.m. Aug. 21, jail records show.

She was released the following day after posting $6,000 bond that was secured through a bail bondsman.
