SUNNYSIDE, Wash. – A Pasco murder suspect was arrested in Sunnyside after evading arrest for a little over a month. He is the second arrest made in the homicide case.

On July 23, Pasco Police officers responded to a 911 call reporting that a woman had been shot at a house near 20th and Marie. When officers arrived at the scene, they found her dead in an Accessory Dwelling Unit.

As the investigation continued, police developed probable cause and issued an arrest warrant for Johnathon Villegas for murder.

On July 25, Villegas was taken into custody outside Pendleton, Oregon. However, they signaled that the arrest did not mean the end of the investigation.
