Nine men have been arrested on suspicion of causing offences and harm to women or girls.
Leeds police officers have arrested the men under Operation Topaz , which aims to crackdown on violence towards women and girls. The Road Policing Unit (RPU) were able to use specialist tactics to proactively locate and arrest suspects wanted for a range of violence against women or girls (VAWG) offences.
Suspects were arrested on suspicion of a variety of different offences. Three were arrested on suspicion of coercive controlling behaviour, two for assault, four for harassment or stalking, and one for breaching a restraining order.
The operation took place between Thursday, August 21 and Monday, August 25. Those arrested were:
