Former Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools employees caught up in the system's budget crisis will have at least two local job fairs available to them in their attempt to find new or temporary work.

Forsyth County and Forsyth Technical Community College are among more than 20 employers participating in a WS/FCS-sponsored reverse job fair on Sept. 4. The event is not open to the public.

Galilee Missionary Baptist Church has plans for a job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 15 at the church's 4129 Northampton Drive location in Winston-Salem.

The job fair is focused on finding work for nearly 280 workers who were affected by the school system's urgent need to cut $18 million from its 2025-26 budget.
