A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Friday at 3:21 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 4 p.m. for Suffolk County.

Wind gusts of up to 30 mph and pea-sized hail (0.25 inches) are anticipated.

"At 3:21 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm over Mattituck, moving east at 20 mph," says the weather service. "Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible."

Expect strong thunderstorms in the following locations:

Mattituck around 3:25 p.m.

Peconic around 3:30 p.m.

Southold around 3:40 p.m.

According to the weather service, "If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building."
