STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — An individual was struck by a vehicle on the Staten Island Expressway early Friday afternoon, according to the FDNY.

It was around 12:40 p.m. that the FDNY said it received a report of a person struck in the vicinity of westbound Exit 7 of the Staten Island Expressway in Graniteville.

As noted by the FDNY, one patient was transported to Richmond University Medical Center in New Brighton as a result of the collision. The individual’s condition is unknown, according to a department spokesperson.
