Three siblings have been arrested, accused of killing a co-worker aboard commercial fishing vessel in Plaquemines Parish.
Josiah Cottrell, 28, Timothy Cottrell, 25, and David Cottrell, 22, were booked with second-degree murder, according to Capt. Chaun Domingue, spokesperson for the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Office. All three are from Broussard, La.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim, who suffered multiple stab wounds, Domingue said.
The man and the Cottrell brothers worked deck hands on the vessel, which was not identified by the Sheriff's Office.
The homicide occurred about 10:30 p.m. Thursday while the vessel was near the Red Pass waterway , just west of Venice, according to Domingue. Authorities were contacted by officials on the vessel, and deputies boar
