PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Officials with the Washington County Sheriff's Office are seeking witnesses to a fatal crash that killed a pedestrian late Monday morning.

Just before 11 a.m., deputies responded to reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Northwest Deerfield Way and Northwest West Union Road in the Rockcreek area.

Officials said both the driver involved and a bystander had called to report the crash.

Arriving at the scene, deputies and emergency crews found the pedestrian - identified as 73-year-old Muoi Du - was seriously injured after the driver of a gray Acura TSX hit her while she was crossing the road.

Du was taken to a hospital, but died from her injuries three days later.

At this time, investigators say they do not believe impairment was a factor
