EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - For the second straight season, the Michigan State hockey team will be playing a game outdoors.

Penn State athletics announced on Friday, the game between the Nittany Lions and Spartans on January 31, 2026, will be played at Beaver Stadium, the home of Penn State football.

“This is a historic moment for Penn State Hockey, our fans and the entire Penn State community,” said Penn State athletic director Dr. Patrick Kraft in a statement. “To bring the excitement of college hockey to Beaver Stadium is truly special.
