Manchester United have reached an agreement to sell Antony to Real Betis, according to reports.

Antony thrived on loan at Betis in the second half of last season and a return to the La Liga club has been the winger’s preferred destination this summer.

Betis had initially hoped to sign Antony on a season-long loan with an option to buy but in the final week of the summer transfer window, United have negotiated a permanent deal.

According to The Athletic, United have agreed an initial €25 million (£21.6m) transfer fee, with an additional €3m (£2.6m) in add-ons.

United have also included a 50 per cent sell-on clause in Betis’ deal.
