KNOX COUNTY, Neb. (KCAU) — On Wednesday, a report from the Special Knox County Attorney was filed, suspending one person for one year and firing two others. On Friday, Knox County Sheriff Don Henery made a statement.

Sheriff Don Henery, with the Knox County Sheriff's Office, said that this will be the only statement he makes. Sheriff Don Henerey is the brother of Sheriff Daniel Henery, one of the two who were fired following the report.

According to the Facebook post, Sheriff Don Henery was disappointed in the Knox County Board of Supervisors with how the advice from Special Attorney David Begley was taken. He said that both people who were fired had "distinguished public careers."
