SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The Notre Dame football team kicks off its season on Sunday against the Miami Hurricanes. And while it’s an away game, it’s safe to say there’s excitement in the air.
Notre Dame fans are known for traveling far and wide to watch football games. But for those staying in town, the energy around town is high.
“I walk my dog on campus once a week, and up until a couple of weeks ago it’s been a ghost town,” says George Kendall. “It’s nice to have the energy back.”
“Campus just kind of comes alive. So many people are around, even for away games. It’s so exciting,” adds Notre Dame student Gabbie Spontak.
