Labor Day protests on Monday, Sept. 1, will be happening across the country as workers rally for the ‘ Workers Over Billionaires’ Day of Action.

Thousands of people are expected to participate in planned protests taking place nationwide, according to USA TODAY’s previous reporting. Larger events are anticipated in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, although it isn’t currently a flagship event.

The protests are designed to build on the momentum of other large demonstrations against President Donald Trump and the billionaires who support him. Labor organizations and advocacy groups, including the AFL-CIO and May Day Strong , will lead the protests.
