LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) -- Hudson PEP Elementary is now the proud owner of the 22nd book vending machine installed in Gregg County, and they celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday.

The new addition to Hudson PEP is the result of a partnership with Greater Longview United Way and First National Bank of East Texas. The vending machine is a clever initiative that aims to boost student literacy by rewarding students with tokens they can use to acquire books.
