After last season opened with 22 Canadians on NBA rosters, there might be one less in 2025-26.
The Dallas Mavericks are waiving Canadian Olivier-Maxence Prosper via a stretch provision, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Friday.
The Montreal-born forward averaged 3.5 points, 2.2 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 10 minutes per game during his first two NBA seasons with the Mavericks.
Prosper was selected with the 24th overall pick in the 2023 draft by the Sacramento Kings and traded to Dallas shortly after alongside Richaun Holmes for cash considerations.
The 23-year-old will now be available on the free agent market as frontcourt depth.
