COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ryan Day is entering his seventh season as Ohio State’s head football coach, having accomplished everything on his to-do list at least once. Now he gets a chance to start his next mission.

The most important goal of a season coming off a national title is starting the process of flipping the Michigan rivalry back in the Buckeyes’ favor by ending a four-game losing streak. After that, it’s reclaiming OSU’s spot at the top of the Big Ten, a seat it hasn’t sat in since 2020. But those are season-long goals with a payoff that can’t happen for another three months. There is a more immediate task that starts at noon inside Ohio Stadium.
