INDIANAPOLIS - The up-and-coming business district in the Garfield Park neighborhood is filling up with new shops left and right. However, future road work has the owners concerned for how they’ll stay afloat.
The Indy Type Shop is right down the road from the bright orange indicator that was put up earlier this week.
“They had dropped these signs off saying that they're gonna close the road, so none of the business owners here had gotten any heads up about it,” said co-owner Adam Henze.
The owner of the vintage book store Pen and Pink across the street was the first to notice it appear.
“I was the one sort of running around checking with all the other business owners, our building owner,” said owner Laura McPhee. “No one had any idea what this was about.”
