MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCSC) - A man has been arrested after a joint operation between the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and the North Charleston Police Department.

William Edward Slaise III, 28, was arrested on Aug. 21 and transported to the Hill-Finklea Detention Center on charges of trafficking cocaine, trafficking methamphetamine, possession with the intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics and possession with the intent to distribute Schedule IV narcotics, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

Slaise was identified as a primary target in a Berkeley County Narcotics Task Force investigation into narcotics sales in July. Slaise was found to be a North Charleston resident known to distribute, traffic and transport narcotics in Berkeley County.
