A new season begins on Saturday for Air Force football, and with it will come a sense of urgency.

Among the many lessons learned during last season, where a 1-7 start turned into a 4-0 finish, was the importance of starting off with gusto.

The opportunity will come in a 1:30 p.m. game against Bucknell at Falcon Stadium.

“I think that’s a team-wide thing of we want to start off hot and stay hot,” fullback Dylan Carson said. “I think we have the maturity and discipline from what we’ve been building over the last nine months to do that and I think, as a team, we’re ready to execute on a given Saturday and do our job.”

The Falcons are 28-0 all-time against teams from the Football Championship Subdivision and have never lost in August.
