A Lansing man has been sentenced to two years of probation after pleading guilty to filing fraudulent grant applications with the state treasury, officials announced Friday.
Leslie Buck, 25, was sentenced Wednesday in 30th Circuit Court in Ingham County after pleading guilty in June to seven counts of perjury/other than court proceeding and one count of using a computer to commit a crime, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a press release.
Buck was sentenced to 300 days in jail, including 100 days already served. The remaining 200 days were suspended, pending successful completion of his probation.
Perjury is typically punishable by up to 15 years in prison and using a computer to commit a crime by up to 10 years. Buck initially faced an additional felony charge of being a
