RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Richland County deputies are investigating gunfire that recently damaged homes in a Blythewood area subdivision, with another homeowner finding damage on Friday.

The Richland County Sheriff's Department said its initial call to The View community came on Aug. 23 when residents heard gunfire, and at least one home was struck. With a gun range on private property nearby, the sheriff's department said deputies went to speak with the owner, who agreed to end shooting in the area while they investigate.

Deputies were called back to the neighborhood along Stillorgan Court on Friday after another homeowner discovered damage to his home. While the homeowner also heard gunfire on Saturday night, deputies are still working to determine whether his damage was from the same i
