HURON, S.D. (KELO) -- From corndogs to funnel cakes, the food is one of many highlights at the South Dakota State Fair.
The state is like a family reunion for Danny and Connie Hofer as familiar faces stop by their food stand each year.
"I can't necessarily call their name, but we recognize the faces," Danny Hofer said.
The Huron husband and wife are the owners of Slim's Concessions.
The Hofers have been serving food at the state fair for 44 years.
The big seller is Indian tacos.
"That's our big thing, Mexican dinners, soft shell, hard shell, burritos, hot dogs," Connie Hofer said.
Thomsen's Root Beer is also a longtime state fair vendor.
