Paramount cancels “Dexter: Original Sin” despite earlier renewal

Paramount has reversed its decision to produce a second season of “Dexter: Original Sin,” despite announcing the show’s renewal in April, sources tell Variety .

“Original Sin” boasted an ensemble cast including Patrick Gibson, Molly Brown, Christina Milian, Christian Slater, and guest appearances by Sarah Michelle Gellar and Patrick Dempsey.

The series, which concluded its first and now final season in February, never established a production schedule for its planned continuation, Parad e reports.
