In the latest installment of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds,” an iconic Pittsburgh chain got a reference.

“Strange New Worlds,” a “Star Trek” prequel series that debuted in 2022, follows characters aboard the USS Enterprise 10 years before James T. Kirk (William Shatner) took the captain’s chair. Here, the crew is led by Captain Christopher Pike, played by Anson Mount, as they explore space in the 23rd century.

Number One (Rebecca Romijn) uttered a familiar name within the first minute of the third season’s eighth episode, which aired Thursday. The Enterprise was headed to the “Purmantee” system to dock on “Purmantee III” — a “well-known vacation spot” where the crew was given three days of leave.
