CAPITOLA — Local transportation officials announced Friday that the long-term closure of a busy exit off of Highway 1 has been delayed.
The three ramps at Park Avenue that are currently closed will reopen at 6 a.m. Sept. 5, but the eight-month closure of several ramps at the Bay Avenue/Porter Street exit have been postponed, according to a release from the Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission.
The commission wrote that a new date for the closure will be announced in advance of future construction activities, but did not share a specific reason for the postponement.
