LORAIN, Ohio (WJW) - Lorain County residents can expect to see more law enforcement patrols over the Labor Day weekend.
According to the Lorain County Sheriff's Office, deputies and troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Elyria Post will be increasing their patrols over the weekend "to crack down on impaired and reckless driving."
“Labor Day should be about celebrating safely with family and friends, not tragedy on our roads,” said Lorain County Sheriff Jack Hall said in a press release Friday evening. “If you drink, don’t drive -- plan ahead.”
The effort started at 6 p.m. Friday night and will continue through 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
The sheriff's office said law enforcement will be out on highways, state routes and local roads in the county to enforce impaired driving, distra
