WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Baylor fans, coaches, players and former players are pumped up for the return of the chrome helmet at the Bears season opener Friday night in a matchup against Auburn at McLane Stadium.
Baylor made the announcement about bringing back the iconic look on August 14th by releasing a video with former Baylor QB Bryce Petty, who wore the chrome.
“Look good, feel good, play good,” Petty said. “If you can’t feel good in that thing, then I don’t know really what you can feel good in. I know there was a lot of time and energy put into getting the look right. We’re going to play fast, and we’re going to win a lot in these things.”
Current Waco resident and Cromwell Commercial Group Partner Clay Fuller was a teammate with Petty.
