Eric Trump's eye-popping prediction for Bitcoin floored CNN anchor Erin Burnett on Friday evening, who warned if it comes true, President Donald Trump's wealth will "explode."

Eric Trump predicted Bitcoin would reach $1 million during his speech at the Bitcoin Asia 2025 conference in Hong Kong.

At the conference, he told audience members, "There’s no doubt bitcoin will reach $1 million," meaning one Bitcoin would be worth $1 million. That number currently stands at about $108,000. Eric Trump cited long-term demand, limited quantities of the cryptocurrency and surging institutional interest.

"It's a stunning number," Burnett told viewers of her show, "OutFront," noting that Eric Trump delivered an "effusive sales pitch for Bitcoin while his family is profiting big time from crypto."

She then played a montage of Eric Trump's comments, calling Bitcoin "the greatest asset in the world."

"I really believe in the next several years, Bitcoin hits $1 million. There's no question. Buy right now. Shut your eyes. Hold it for the next five years and you are going to do terrifically well," he promised.

Should his prediction come true, Burnett noted it'd be a 10-times return.

Dan Alexander, senior editor for Forbes, told Burnett that Donald Trump has "conjured up about $1.5 billion from new crypto projects."

"He's also taken his most valuable asset, a $2 billion stake in the Trump Media & Technology Group, and turned that toward crypto. So if you add those two things together right now, you're looking at about $3.5 billion tied to the crypto industry of his roughly $6 billion fortune," he said.

The number astounded Burnett.

"That is incredible," she replied. "I mean, it's actually really stunning. Never mind that he used to say crypto was bunk. Just the amount of money that they're making — and his sons are out there sales and marketing on it — is impressive."

Alexander later said Eric Trump's embrace of crypto has improved his relationship with his father. While Trump put his children in charge of his assets during his first term, they were mostly seen as asset managers.

"They weren't doing a lot of entrepreneurial things," said Alexander.

That's changed in Trump 2.0.

"Not only do they have the keys to the car, but they're allowed to drive it as fast as they want," he said.

And they're steering toward Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

"It's made tons of money not just for their father, but also for them. It's surely given him a lot of confidence, giving him a reason to sort of — it’s kind of a coming-out party. He’s an entrepreneur in his own right now," said Alexander, of Eric Trump.
