Days after being accused by a Phoenix school district of trying to bring a weapon onto a high school campus where a boy was recently stabbed to death, a mother-daughter political duo denied the allegations.
"I call on Phoenix Union High School to release the surveillance video that will show I did not attempt to bring a boxcutter, let alone any type of weapon, into the school, nor attempt to test the security systems," read an Aug. 29 statement from Rep. Lydia Hernández, D-Phoenix.
