DALLAS — Dallas Police said Wednesday evening they responded to a 911 call from a mother concerned about her son.

“Yes, very very emergency. My son is coming from suicidal,” said the caller to police. “He is yelling that he will kill everybody.”

The call came from a home on Far Hill Lane in North Dallas.

Police body camera footage shows a woman answering the door, followed by a man later identified as 46-year-old Martin Benes, walking toward officers with a knife in his hand.

“I’m done with this s***,” said Benes in the video. Then the officer can be heard yelling commands, “Put it down. Put it down.”
