(FOX40.COM) — On August 21, a Placer County Superior Court judge ordered that a Sexually Violent predator be conditionally released into Placer County, despite the District Attorney's objection.

In 2010, Gregory Ding was convicted of a Lewd and Lascivious Act on a Child Under 14 and for an Attempted Lewd and Lascivious Act on a Child Under 14, as well as Indecent Exposure, according to the Placer County District Attorney’s Office.

After serving six years in prison, Ding was committed to the Department of State Hospitals due to the law that requires DSH to treat and rehabilitate sexually violent offenders to re-enter the community.
