COLUMBIA, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The South Carolina National Guard reports it has been asked to help the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Officials said 40 National Guard members have been asked to help ICE under Title 32 status in SC. They will assist in administrative duties.
Service members are expected to be placed on Title 32 orders before the end of August; however, the locations have not been established. Soldiers will remain on orders until the end of the fiscal year, according to officials.
