US rapper and songwriter Cardi B appears at Queens County Criminal Court for a compliance hearing regarding the terms of her agreement over a strip club assault, in New York City on January 17, 2023.

In the eyes of Cardi B fans, she is only guilty of one thing: serving looks in court.

The “Outside” rapper is currently on trial after being accused by security guard Emani Ellis of assaulting her in the hallway of her Beverly Hills obstetrician’s office in 2018.

Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, has admitted that the pair got into an argument and were chest to chest in the hallway, but denied that she assaulted Ellis, fighting back against the security guard’s claim for $24 million in damages.

Clips of her bold personality on the stand have gone viral online, but her wigs have become a focal point, capturing the attention of both fans and lawyers in the courtroom.

“Cardi done switched the wig on day 2 of the trial and I can’t help but Stan,” one user wrote on X.

Cardi B’s brand and persona have been associated with high fashion throughout her career, from her appearances at the Met Gala to her dazzling looks during Fashion Week in Milan and Paris.

In her latest single “Imaginary Playerz,” she boasts: “(Expletive) kept complainin’ so I copped more diamonds/ And more archive, vintage couture on me/ I got more Gaultier than Jean probably.”

In the outro, she adds, “Fixin’ y’all mouth to talk fashion with me/I’m the one who showed these girls what fashion could be.”

Cardi B’s wigs have captured people’s attention

Since the trial began, the Grammy Award winner has been spotted wearing her hair in a black, mushroom-styled short cut, a blonde side part, and a black, curly number.

An attorney bizarrely questioned her about it during her testimony. The exchange shared by journalist Meghann Cuniff has since gone viral.

“Yesterday, you had black hair, short hair. Today it’s blonde and long. Which one is your real hair?” the lawyer asked. “Or are they both real?”

“They’re wigs,” Cardi B, 32, laughed.

“Sorry, I didn’t know,” the lawyer said. “It’s a good wig today, then.”

One fan chimed in, stating, “cardi’s blend was so good on this wig it gagged the lawyer and he had to ask if it was her hair ikdr.”

When will Cardi B’s next album be released?

Cardi B’s long-awaited second studio album, “Am I The Drama?”, is set to release on Sept. 19, nearly a decade after the release of her debut album “Invasion of Privacy.” The 23-song tracklist includes some of her biggest hits, including “Up” and “WAP” featuring Megan Thee Stallion.

“Seven years and the time has come. Seven years of love, life and loss. Seven years I gave them grace, but now, I give them hell. I learned power is not given, it’s taken,” Cardi B says in her album teaser. “I’m shedding feathers and no more tears. I’m not back, I’m beyond. I’m not your villain, I’m your karma. The time is here. The time is now.”
