Friday night, a memorial was held for a high school student who never to got to take the field at Boyd Buchanan.

Brandon Robinson Jr. died in June 2025 after his parents say he accidentally shot himself. How and where Brandon got the gun is still unknown. Brandon was an incoming freshman, ready to play for the Buccaneers.

"He was the light of the room. His dimples. His smile. He just had that energy that fed off of everybody," recounted Dirisha Caslin and Brandon Robinson Senior, Brandon's parents.

Brandon died in June, weeks before football practice started. He was 14 years old.

"He was playing with a gun. It ended up taking his life. It's just a tragedy," said Robinson Senior.

Now, Dirisha Caslin and Brandon Robinson Senior are taking what has happened and sharing it with others.
