A recruitment campaign by Immigration and Customs Enforcement has reached the city of Framingham, Massachusetts, causing concern among residents and immigrants.

The billboards, urging people to "defend the homeland" and "join ICE today," were placed at electric vehicle charging stations in one of the city's most popular shopping malls. It's part of an ICE recruitment effort announced in a Department of Homeland Security press release on July 29 .

The advertisement featured Secretary of Homeland Security Kristy Noem. Although the ads were only visible for a few hours, they generated a rapid response from the community.
