Two Marinette police officers fired their guns at a suspect, who later died, Aug. 29 in the town of Peshtigo, according to the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
The incident began shortly before 9:15 a.m. when law enforcement officers attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle connected to a suspicious death investigation in Dane County.
The vehicle fled from officers, leading to a high-speed pursuit southbound on U.S. 41 that ended with the vehicle crashing near the intersection of U.S. 41 and Schacht Road.
Law enforcement officers from the Marinette County Sheriff's Office, Marinette Police Department and Peshtigo Police Department responded to the scene.
