OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha native Terence “Bud” Crawford is fresh off a hometown send-off ahead of what could be the biggest fight of his career.

Bud will face off against Canelo Alvarez in a couple of weeks in Vegas.

Fresh off a winning start to the Huskers’ season, Coach Matt Rhule was in Omaha on Friday celebrating Crawford.

Rhule led the Huskers to a late-night win Thursday in Kansas City. The Huskers played this year’s season-opener against Cincinnati at Arrowhead Stadium, defeating the Bearcats 20-17 after a last-second interception.

If Crawford wins the match, he says he will be the first man to become an undisputed champion in three separate weight divisions.

Crawford will be focused on training for the upcoming match for the next few weeks.
