A man suspected of carjacking and kidnapping three children was arrested in Malibu Friday evening after allegedly leading law enforcement on a chase that began in East Los Angeles.

The chase ended when the stolen car driven by the kidnapping suspect T-boned a car on Pacific Coast Highway near Kanan Drive while driving approximately 90 mph at approximately 7:40 p.m. Friday, KTLA reported.

One person was severely injured and three suffered minor to moderate injuries, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. They were all flown to a hospital by helicopter.

The suspect got out of the car following the collision, running into a wooded area. He was arrested near Portahead Road and Boniface Drive.
