MOORHEAD — Nearly two dozen people lined the side of the street in Moorhead to protest the Trump administration on Friday night, Aug. 29.

The protest took place near the office of U.S. Rep. Michelle Fischbach, R-Minn., on Eighth Street, just north of Interstate 94.

Some of the most common issues displayed on signs included gun control, global warming and the release of the Epstein files.

Many of the protesters are part of a local group that regularly organizes demonstrations called “Fired Up Fridays.” Members said being vocal is an important part of citizenship.

"This is supposed to be a democracy, and democracy is not a spectator sport, as they say. So I am being an activist instead of a spectator," protester Martha Wheeler said.
