Martinsville head football coach Brian Dugger saw his team get a rude awakening last week in their opening loss to Bedford North Lawrence.

The Artesians in turn made Class 5A No. 4 Bloomington South perk up a bit Friday night as well, when they returned the opening kickoff for a score and attempted another furious comeback at the end. It's a rivalry, afterall, split right down the middle now the past eight meetings.

But the 1-2 punch of Braylen Townsend and Shaun Cooper was just too much to overcome with the dynamic duo eating up clock and 274 yards between them while scoring five times in a 38-27 win by the Panthers.
