New parking laws could soon make it more difficult for drivers to park outside their own homes.
Parking on pavements could soon be banned across England in major changes to road rules.
The proposals have been under consideration for years and now look set to be confirmed by the Labour Government.

Should the new law be ratified, it could create problems for certain households, particularly those which don't have driveways, or live on tight, narrow streets.
There has been a push to outlaw pavement parking to improve safety for pedestrians, particularly disabled people and parents pushing prams. It's already banned in London.
There remains uncertainty, however
