Two people have been taken into custody in Torrance on felony child endangerment charges connected to a case in which a child died, authorities said.

Detectives with the Torrance Police Department, working alongside the agency’s Community Lead Officers Team, carried out the arrests of Genna Magliocco and Charles Womack, officials announced. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and are being held pending arraignment.

The department did not release further details about the circumstances of the child’s death, citing an ongoing investigation.
