BILLINGS — The Kalispell Glacier at Billings West football game was billed as a possible State AA championship preview and Friday night at Wendy’s Field at Daylis Stadium the contest more than lived up to the hype.

With a large crowd on hand on a nice evening for football, Glacier’s defense made a late stand to preserve a 14-10 win over the Golden Bears.

West had started its final drive on its own five-yard line. After a 53-yard pass from quarterback CJ Johnson to Braedyn Foster and then a 19-yard pass from Johnson to Isaac Pringle had advanced the ball to the Wolfpack six-yard line with 1:20 left. However, that’s when Glacier’s defense, which was tough all night, locked down and forced a turnover on downs with 1:06 remaining in the game.
