DEL MAR – The play call — Fly Eagle Fly — came in, and Torrey Pines High School receiver Logan Miller was excited.
Not because he was the target, but because he was the passer.
Late in the third quarter with the ball at the San Pasqual 19, Miller took the handoff from quarterback Blake Miller — his brother — swept right and found Camden Nishnick wide open in the end zone.
It was the Falcons’ final score in a 30-13 nonleague win over San Pasqual.
“I was pretty excited when the call came in,” Logan Miller said. “Blake and I have always had that brother thing, that receiver-quarterback connection, but I guess I took one of his touchdowns away from him.”
Blake, who completed 11 of 18 passes for 158 yards and a 6-yard TD to Nishnick, was perfectly OK with it.
