FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Just over two months remain until November’s special election, one that will leave voters to decide on Prop. 50.

If approved, it could give California Democrats five more seats in Congress.

However, it's going to take a lot of manpower and money just for votes to be cast and counted.

Fresno County Clerk and Registrar of Voters James Kus, says they have already started hiring to get ready.

“Someone looking for some first-time experience working with people, working with basic IT, maybe for high schoolers, juniors and seniors — this is a wonderful opportunity to get some community service in, and get paid," Kus pitched.

In total, he tells us they hope to hire about 50 additional workers ahead of the Nov. 4 election.
