N. Morton St. and Branigin Road: An officer reported at 12:30 a.m. Friday that he observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. He also observed the vehicle’s tail light was out and no plate lights activated. The officer conducted a traffic stop and detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver and that he was slurring his words. The officer had the man perform sobriety testing and after failing the tests he was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
