VHS to host tournament

Virginia High will host its annual Sunset Slush Summer Slam volleyball tournament on Saturday.

The 10-team event will feature VHS, Chilhowie, Council, Fort Chiswell, Wise County Central, Richlands, Rural Retreat, Ridgeview, Grundy and Hidden Valley of Roanoke.

Pool play begins at 9 a.m. with the finals scheduled to start at 8 p.m.

Ridgeview is the two-time defending champions in the event.
