If you're planning to attend an outdoor gathering or do some grilling this Labor Day weekend, you're in luck; near-perfect conditions, complete with plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the 70s, are expected for the holiday weekend.

But before we see more ideal weather, expect to encounter some clouds early Saturday, along with potentially a few sprinkles, NBC 5 Storm Team Meteorologist Kevin Jeanes said.

Then will come the sunshine.

It won't turn bright and sunny immediately this afternoon, but clouds will start to thin out as the day progresses.

High temperatures will climb into the low 70s as mostly clear skies - and sunshine - set in. Despite enjoyable weather, readings will be below average for this time of year; average highs are usually in the low 80s.
